Staff Scheduling

Hiya. I wonder if anyone has any ideas about staff scheduling? Specifically: what program to use...

Right now I am using Excel which is fine, but probably not the best way to enter a staff schedule. If Excel is the way to go, any hints?

Kinda vague, I know...

BTW, the 'usual' retail hours apply.

Thanks in advance!

Yeap will become famous soon enough
i suppose that is the most economical way and the easiest for everyone to handle it. otherwise you have to invest in some staff management which cost you an amount.

Give MS Office Outlook a try. Set up your employees as "Contacts." To schedule hours go to "Contacts" and "Right Click" on the employees name and select "New Appointment With Contact." This brings up the "Appointment" form which allows you to schedule dates and time.

Fart around and you will discover that you can do a whole lot more with Outlook like email work schedules etc.

Outlook works equally well for customer scheduling.

I used the online schedulers, that way employees can make days off requests, and see their schedules at 2 am. They never have to call in to get their schedules.
