Officemate and Billing

We use Officemate and were using Gateway EDI to bill through but we had too many errors after the NPI numbers were issued and the HICFA forms changed.

Is anybody using integrated billing with Officemate (that WORKS!)?

Thanks
Sharpstick

I know several offices using GatewayEDI without any issues at all - call them and get it straight.

I use Omate and Gateway EDI with no problems on two separate accounts. If it's an NPI error, it can be a couple things. Your payors might not have your correct NPI on file especially if you're a group practice. Gateway should be able to walk you through and tell you at least why you're getting the edits. Sometimes it's a program loop that needs to be adjusted on their (Omate and Gway) end. When the setup is all good, I have nothing but great things to say about using this combo. Good luck to you!

If they say "crosswalk" then it's setup wrong on the NPPES website.

At my previous practice that I worked for we had issues ALL the time....I would call OM and they would blame Gateway....so I would call Gateway and they blamed OM. Made me pull my hair out on many a day!
Im so glad that I dont have that headache anymore....Good Luck to you!

I'm new here but I'm hoping to glean the knowledge of others. Sit of the shoulders of giants and all that.

My problem is very specific. I'm using OfficeMate 8.0.20 to file electronic claims. I'm trying to use Post 'N Track for Cigna claims however, I keep getting the following error message.

"PRV segment already exists in the 2000A loop. It cannot exist in both the 2000A loop and the 2310B loop. The error occurred at Segment 25 in loop 2310B.PRV*PE*ZZ*152W00000X"

It has to do with the population of box 24J and the NPI. I'm fairly certain that Post N Track does NOT want this field populated at all however, if I remove it from the corresponding field under my providers tab OfficeMate will show errors on the claim and won't create the batch. :-( Has anyone used both OfficeMate and Post N Track successfully together?

I don't know about the Post N Track, but in the past if we got any error mentioning "loop" it was something in the programming and had to be addressed by Omate directly. Hope that helps.
