I've got a Elkay chiller in the lab that was set up by the group we bought it from. It's a recirculating (closed loop) system where a continuous pump sits inside of a small cooler with water in it. The water from the cooler is pumped through the chiller, to the wax blocker and then back the cooler.

It seems that the system slows down more often than I would prefer, so the chilling ring on the blocker isn't cold enough. I then have to completely purge the system and start fresh.

Is there a better way? I would love a fresh water feed, since my chiller is only used for 10 minutes at a time and I really don't need the thing running all of the time.
