Hey guys, a consumer here looking for some help by following the rules. I've done my research online and OptiBoard keeps popping up in all of my searches. I thought I'd come to the pro's for some help.

I purchased a set of semi rimless to replace my old semi rimless pair that was lost. When I received my new glasses, they seem to look like coke bottles based on the thickness. Here are the details:

Left lens edge thickness: 5.2mm
Right lens edge thickness: 5mm

Prescription:
OD Sphere: -600
OD Cylinder: -050
OD Axis 021

OS Sphere: -450
OS Cylinder: -150
Axis 163

PD: 65

I went with 1.67 lenses, same as before, but the thickness has changed drastically while my prescription hasn't changed. The semi rimless I went with are plastic and thinner compared to my previous metal thicker semi rimless frames. Could that have an affect on the thickness of the lenses? I'm in a bit of a fix here since I'm debating returning them but I'm not exactly sure how there is such a drastic difference in thickness, should I just rule out semi-rimless all together?

Thanks and I appreciate your help. My local optician hasn't been that friendly (at Lenscrafters).
