Hi everyone. I have a lens here that is a +3.50 / -3.50 @ 180 with a base curve of 6. My question is this: assuming the same rx, the same base curve, same lens material, etc., would decreasing the thickness of the lens decrease the off-axis distortion? I know that going to an aspheric lens or perhaps a higher base curve might help, but I am curious how much thickness alone affects this. This lens could be made at least 1.5mm thinner and still have ample edge thickness for the frame. Thanks for any insight.
