More ammo re night myopia and acuity standards for driving

Those of you who have read some of my other posts and articles are aware that this subject is a pet areacof mine, and that it points up our inadequate driving acuity thresholds.

The link below provides more interesting ammo:

    http://www.eyeworld.org/article.php?sid=3900

After reading it, ask yourself why so many

    "-0.50 -0.25 x 180 O.U."

Rxs are felt (by the client, and sometimes the doc) not needed by many for night driving...

and compounded by the fact that this threshold of uncorrected focus-acuity easy passes every state's minimum for driving without eyewear!

    Go Figure...???

    Thoughts?
