Try the Medical Society in your state which usually houses the State Academy of Ophthalmology. Another source is the American Academy of Ophthalmology in San Francisco CA or contact several several medical insurance companies they general have providers listed and specialties. Also check the web sites. The yellow pages listing Physicians and their specialties is another avenue. Hope this helps

Not knowing the details for your request, I would start with your local hospital. Ask who the best in the area is. If you do not get anywhere there, call the Ophthalmologist and ask whom they refer to. There might be one name you here from several offices.
Your insurance might have you start with a general Ophthalmologist and be referred to at Retina specialist. If you are not happy with the doctor, get a second opinion.
Cateye88: Try this site out, it might help you.

This site has a lot of MD's and OD's. I did not see any around your home town, but maybe there is something close. A lot of MD center's have retinal specialist on board so try them out. Hope it helps. FISHMAN

There is published each year or every other year, "The Red Book of Ophthalmologists" and "The Blue Book of Optometrists. You can also go to Yahoo and others and go to the yellow pages on line, list a city and a buisness. If you really want to play with this you can obtain a list of every yellow page listed O.D., M.D. and Optical Shop in the world (or probably) you state would be enough.
