Does anybody has experience with or views on the above rimless frames?
Thanks.

They are fine frames. As with any frame, they have to be properly processed to be of reasonable service. The first generation Airlocks were a big problem. Marchon quickly got on the problem and redesigned them. They don't make them anymore. I doubt you can find too many of these around though. Do you have a specific question?Originally Posted by jc1email
Thanks Jim for your feedback. I am looking at having my first pair of rimless and am doing research on which brands to consider. Hence I come across Airlock at some online dispensers. Which brand/model is most durable in terms of wear and tear and that allows putting glasses on and off with just one hand without risking breakages of the arms? Thanks.
I suggest you get the Airlocks with the hinges. I have found them to be more durable.
I always liked hinges. I think most have airlocks warranties. You may have a problem on line with the warranties. They may charge fees and such. I'd want to buy for sure rimless frames from someone I could look in the eye if there was a problem to arise. Preferably an independent practitioner.Originally Posted by jc1email
as an online dispenser. There are online retailers but that has very little to do with what we do for a living. Why don't you hold your face up to your monitor and get their opinion rather than coming here and picking our brain?!?!
This is the kind of crap that makes us generally hostile to consumers!! You guys just don't get it do you?!? We've spent years in the trenches learning our trade. Alot of us have invested alot of money in brick and mortar operations and we're supposed to help you make an online purchase?!?! Go away you worthless, inconsiderate person!!
And shame on you Happy Lady & Jim for helping him!!:finger::angry::finger:

Sorry, I didn't read his second post carefully. I didn't realize he was planning on buying them on-line.Originally Posted by Framebender
I think he is just viewing it online and not buying.
I don't mind helping someone out. I don't think they will be bringing me a broken rimless frame. As for you bender, shame on you for being a butt! You got nothing to say nice, say nothing.Originally Posted by Framebender

I have a pair of Marchon Airlock2 rimless and although I just got my new prescription with the new "2.5" frames, I wish I had chosen to put the new lens into the Marchon. It's the most comfortable lens I've ever had and I wore the glasses over two years. Never a problem. Hope this helps some.
