The cylinder dial slipped so that the plano lens (or no lens) is in the +1.25 position if anyone can tell me how I would go about fixing this I would appreciate it.

Does anyone have schematics for an AO Phoropter?

I had similar problem at one time which i tried to fix by opening refractor head, but i failed to assemble it back and I had to ship it to service centre.Originally Posted by HarryChiling
I suggest you don't try anything but send the instrument to service centre.
Good luck.
Contact Ginny from optiboard. If she and her husband aren't out catfishing, they do a great job on repairing phoroptors.
I have opened and repaired the cylinder axis dials before and know it can be a pain to line up the gears and all correctly, however this requires openeing up the main body of the instrument. I would do it myself if I had the schematics if I don't we are just going to send it to JA Optronics John Jr can fix anything.
