The second one I had heard of, but the first one was new to me. Wow, that's really, really cool (horrible pun!!!) too....
There are rules. Knowing those are easy. There are exceptions to the rules. Knowing those are easy. Knowing when to use them is slightly less easy. There are exceptions to the exceptions. Knowing those is a little more tricky, and know when to use those is even more so. Our industry is FULL of all of the above.
Theoretical physics was one of my big areas of interest prior to my optical 'career'. Love this stuff! It's amazing what kids are thinking up these days ain't it?! :D
I have a bad habit of staying up until 2 or 3am watching shows on astrophysics. They come up with some really neat stuff. Especially where black holes are concerned.
