You could try asking Zeiss if they can make you this in 1.90 Lantal (glass), will be extremely expensive and really easy to break :s
or a lenticular in 1.70 plastic, also quite expensive.
I've said this before in other threads: DO NOT use 1.9 glass on a patient with only one eye. Don't. No. No.
A lenticular G (myodisk) is your best bet, should be do-able in many materials including poly or Trivex.

Forget the material and concentrate on the frame. I've made a -26.50 in 1.67 with 1mm decentration that looked very presentable. A wide dbl, protruding end pieces, oval shape and zero decentration should be the main goal. I would opt for 1.70.
This would be the shape I would shoot for...

I can't believe poly was even considered as a response the abbe would be horrible. I would personally go with a Polycore 1.71 lenticular. If you do the math:
0.25 Base lens (tool)
0.25 * 0.71/0.53 = 0.33D (material)
30.00 - 0.33 = 29.67D Back Curve (thickness won't change this too much due to the low front curve power)
The radius on that curve 0.71/29.67 = 24mm that is one steep radius, a lenticular is limited to an aperture of 48mm or smaller to begin with and the 48mm would require a thickness of 24mm. Evan a aperture of 30mm would be 6.2mm thick.
(center thickness of 1.2mm according to manufacturers specs)
30mm = 6.2mm
35mm = 8.8mm <-- My preference, myope have an extended field of view so a smaller aperture would work out
40mm = 11.9mm
45mm = 16.8mm
And don't let the AR be optional either, it is a crazy definite must. braheems suggestions about frames and decentration were right on the money too, stick to as close to zero decentration as possible and smaller eye size to reduce thickness.
I've made them, actually all the way to -35.00. Use the 1.70/1.71 material and do it as a myodisk, that will reduce some edge thickness. Otherwise follow almost everyone else's suggestions.
Sounds like a lens for Awtech to make. Look him up in the members list. I'm sure he would have some great ideas.
