I am changing our stock lens inventory and am adding poly to the mix. Do any of you stock poly and which manufacturer do you use? Any one using or including Airwear, Tegra and Resolution or Fisher Price?
How about AR stock any one CR-39, 1.6, poly?

We stock poly lenses.
From plano to +3.00, we use Fisher price. These make excellent looking glasses. The only problem is that these are not tintable for more than a VERY light shade. they are wonderfull for children's packages.
We currently use the AO rugged fashionwear for -.25 to -6.00 stock, mostly because our primary vendor is AO/Sola. They are able to be tinted. Vision Ease is what we used to stock in poly, and they make a good, tintable product. Some of their lenses are 1.0 center thickness.
We don't sell enough AR coated lenses to bother with stock. Anything we need in SV with AR and 1.6 index we can get over night delivery. Pentax has a marvellous rx range.
Bev,
Good move ! It's nice to be able to offer more than just CR-39 to your customers.
I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the big names. We've used most of what the other post mentioned, w/ the exception of Fisher Price. As long as the distributor stands behind what they sell, and gives you good service, you'll do find. Make sure that you check around for pricing, and be upfront with them. When you let them know you're "stocking" and they know you'll be back for more, you should get great pricing.

We use the Tegra lenses. In finish lenses, we have seen very little problems. Powers are normally spot on, and we have seen very few carbon spots or the like. Now in the surface blanks, we have seen lots of carbon spots and a few boxed wrongs...
In A/R we carry primarily poly. We recently switched from Vision Ease to the Profiles. While the 1.0 CT makes for a nice looking pair of lenses, grooving on some lower powers can next to impossible. Also we had a hard time with them the first month or so, trying to figure out a way to keep them from flexing too much on the edger. We had a lot of crazing till we switched chucks and went to double padding.

We use a company Cobra Vision in GA. They sell stock poly and stock poly w/ar coating at a very reasonable price, and the quality is really good as well. There phone # is 1-770-886-3200, they have an 800 # but I don't have it on hand.
