I just saw a pathetic display of emotion in a post game press conference. Jim Mora was crying because he loved coaching the Colts and he didnt want to lose his job. Pathetic.

A certain friend of ours, who is an avid Colts fan, in a post earlier in the season, referred to the New England Patriots as either pathetic or hapless.I don't recall which and am too tired from celebrating to search for the exact quote!:D :D :D
(Those smiles were not meant so much "in your face" because I feel badly for the Colts- they were more for the reply I felt like making after reading the original post!)
Well anyway Night Train, in the words of a Red Sox fan during the month of July......there's always next year.Remember the Coach doesn"t PLAY the game.

In defense of that "other" avid Colts fan (who I am sure is a fine enough fellow), at the outset of this season, the Patriots were supposed to be hapless (come now, tell me you didn't expect another pathetic year ;) )!
Who knew that an injury to Bledsoe would prove to be the magical elixir for the Pats! As I watched SportsCenter last evening, it did occur to me to post and congratulate you Pat fans (and while I'm on it, a certain Maryland fan should be ecstatic with the year the Terps had- regardless of their loss to Florida).
Good luck in the playoffs! I will be rooting for the Bears and the Steelers and the Bucs (just for the heck of it) mumbling "maybe next year" for my beloved Colts as I do...
As for Jim Mora. Well, Steve Spurrier resigned from Florida late last week- given Spurrier or Mora, I'll stick with Mora!

While listening to Sonny, Sam and Frank yesterday, (real 'Skins fans watch the game while listening to the radio, even in the stadium), mention was made that Spurrier may wind up in Carolina. It seems that a minority owner there is a member of the Board at Augusta National, and will offer a membership there to Spurrier along with the coaching contract. That's going to be tough to turn down...
Given the fact that Spurrier is an avid golfer, I'd say you are on to something, Judy!

Like I said, Theres NO crying in football....so long Jim Mora :)
On today's episode of "Redskin Park"....Marty's out, maybe moving to Charlotte...Is Spurrier headed to Fedex Field? Dan thinks so and Charlotte's not that interested anymore....Stay tuned....
I'm kinda hoping Dungy (from the Bucs) ends up in Indy! Spurrier's "Fun & Gun" might have worked well with the Colt's offensive weapons, but Dungy might actually be able to produce a defense that's able to stop something more than a squad of cheerleaders!

Hey, give me Sonny, Sam and Frank any day over Gene "The Biggest Homer since Johnny Most" Deckerhoff.
I CAN'T WAIT TILL THEY HAVE TO DEAL WITH THAT A..H... Spurrier!!!!!!!!! Just when thought the Skins couldn't screw up more....well, at least Tampa is safe.........or is that Big Tuna I smell floating up the Hillsborough River.
Actually, Pete...I think Tony would do a great job in Indy. And thanks...now if they could just beat the Semiholes!
If what I heard this lunchtime is true, the Tuna is coming to Tampa! When he finally retires from football he'll be standing next to Lombardi in reputation.Give him 2 years for a super bowl berth.I wish I were in Tampa so I could become a Buc's fan.Well I just might anyway! hj
Eyeman, you folks down there are in for some fun!

Harry,
What do you think about Brady? Do you think he will come through? I'll try to be watching this saturday .
Not to be callous, but given his previous health problems, I hope he has two years of managing the strain of coaching a NFL team left in him! Nevertheless, I work with lots of Bucs fans, so I'll be pulling for him!Give him 2 years for a super bowl berth.
Meanwhile, it appears Dungy is indeed interviewing with the Colts (we'll have to see if he can manage to build a great defense without screwing up the Manning/James/Harrison/Pathon quartet).

Sean,
I think Brady would be the first one to tell you that it will be the team that makes it on Saturday night. He has a lot of talent, but its the front four that will make him click. It should be fun to watch anyway!
Pete, Hopefully Parcell's health problems are a thing of the past.He really has not had any of note since he left the Giants after his bypass. His problems have been more of a control nature. When he took over as coach for NE he insisted on, and was given that control by Bob Kraft. The first time it came into conflict was at the draft after Parcell's first year.Kraft wanted Terry Glenn-Parcell's wanted to build the defense.Parcells reminded Kraft of his promise-Kraft reminded Parcells who was the boss.Thats when Parcells made his decision to leave. He stayed the season, brought the team to the Super Bowl, and left immediately after the game. He didn't even fly back with the team!Later on that week the Jets announced his signing as coach. He had the same problems with control in NY.Not much was made of it but I suspect thats why he left the Jets.Anyway, Tampa is getting one heck of a coach and the fans will get behind him from the git go!
