    Wave Lenses for Charity

I'm sure that many of you know of some good charitable organizations that could use 6,000+ pairs of lenses... finished, Semi-Finished, CR, poly, mid-index, trans III's, AR Coated finished... all kinds of stuff.

I'm thinking colleges, etc... I don't think Lions Club takes un-finished product do they?

    Thanks

Myodisk, You are absolutely right! These lenses would be invaluable to our opticianry colleges. I am chairman of the equipment/donations committee for the National Federation of Opticianry Schools and know which colleges are in the most need. I would be thrilled to help you with any donations to our schools.
Please feel free to contact me so we may discuss it further.

Myodisk- you may want to contact Broward Community College since I know they a Opticianry program (since it looks like you're in FL) or as another possibility, Lenscrafters, as they do work with the Lions club for the Gift of Sight in many countries abroad, will gladly accept any uncut lenses and cut them into frames that have been donated. (many glasses that get donated are progressives, which they don't recycle, as they are too difficult to fit) but they will use the frame if they can. Good Luck in your search, I think it's great what you're doing.
