    Refraction and Sight

If you mouse click on the hyperlink (above), you should have a new Internet Explorer window with a nice summary of how optical refraction is used to improve eyesight. They use the term "correction" instead of "refraction". Be patient, this window takes perhaps a few minutes to download from the Internet. Look closely and you will find options to select "Presbyopia and solutions" and "Ametropia and solutions" for more information.

You may appreciate this even if you have already passed your exam.

I am going to read these summaries myself, hope to improve the quality of my OptiBoard posts.

    Best regards

Try this website (click on hyperlink, above).

This is closer to the level that would be appropriate for an intern optician. Closer, but not sure if it is sufficiently advanced. My previous post (right before this one) had a website with some very basic info, too basic for an optician I think, but it had a link to this website.

Mike, do you have a prep course for the NCLE? I'm thinking of going to a state that requires a license, but they require NCLE for that...
