Everyone will have their own opinion, but I like the Optek the best. Also check the Loh, pricey but nice.

At this point in my life I like LOH most. Are you interested in upgrading to free form?

For a small lab I would go with the Loh v50, if it is still available.

I've found it to be nearly the perfect generator for the smaller lab(75-100/day). Its compact, will cut concave as well as convex, i think up to 25 diopters(i'll have to check the book). Prism up to 20 diopters, and will cut all but glass lens. Runs aprox.30K(much cheaper than the rest). You can run slab-off, bi-concave, bi-convex,myo-disk. I've just never ran anything quite so simple. The service from the company has been very good (though I havent had any reason to call on them in a couple of years.) I hope this helps!!
