"an admissable loss"? you mean "breakage"?
Hi Texas,
I mean every lens that is not sent or accepted by the costumer, for exemple....if a have 200 pairs of lens a day, how much is admissible?? 2, 3, 4, .... pairs of lens a day?
thanks
Ed
Sounds like you mean Lab redo's or customer rejects. In the US the national ave runs between 4-6%.
Keep in mind that doesn't mean they are all bad, just that the dispensor doesn't know whats good and whats not.
Thanks mrba,
I was trying to say all the lenses that a lab work but do not earn for this work, for the causes like..... the lens was too thin, too thick, the dioptry is not right, was broken.....anything that the lab has work again......sorry my english is no godd.....and my dictionay too..ahaha..
I belive you gave me the right number...thanks
Best regards
Ed
One other thing comes to mind. For a lot of reasons different countries use different lenses and processing methods. Redo rate in your country could be different.

Hi mrba,
You are right....I ve heard here in 2%.....and in my case....i have a redo rate of 1,96%.....I am wondering.....is this a good rate??? can it be 1%??
I hope so...
Thanks once again
best regards
Edgley
Mine is around .5%... But no one believes it, so what good am I?
I would think that anything under 3% would be amazing. But like mrba said, a lot has to do with the discernment of the client, the dispenser accepting or rejecting the order. and, I would imaging that the that will be higher in a shop that does mostly finishing work that one doing mostly uncut work. I suppose, it's a matter of the degree of difficulty of the orders. If you ran 100 safety glass orders, you might have 0.25% breakage; but if you have 100 3-piece drill mounts, your breakage might be 6-7%? theory...
