    Question

OK, so I have a more immature side. I was wondering what you all wear and why(we're talkin' glasses) I have to admit that I switched to contacts last year so all I wear now are plano suns. I sport Maui Jim Kahunas for the brighter days and Serengeti Autobahns for overcast. I am interested in seeing the new Serengeti 555 series even though I'm not partial to green lenses(I'm just glad to see them branching out) They used to make their lenses in Winnipeg when Corning had a plant here. Any exotic frames? Anyone grind their own from quartz that they found on summer vacation? Exotic frames made from trees that no longer inhabit our planet? Just throwin' the fun around.

This line isn't one I have it is one I am looking for. Does anyone know anything about the Billy Brock line? I thought they were made by Tura but there is nothing on the Tura website about them.

Note: If your contact make you more sensative to sunlight, something's wrong with the fit.

Having said this, Paragon makes some contacts just for sun protection. And 30 years ago we just used to go to the plexiglass place and buy black sheet and make contacts out of it. Made a great sunglass but made one look dilated all the time.

Jo..I have all the Billy Brock info at work. I will send it to you Monday. He is in Texas. He does the austrian crystals in the lenses for Tura frames. They are shown in the Tura catalog.

I wear a Kata Alto in Silver with blue/ green Splitz lens. My second pair is a private line call LA Optometrique. It is the Rick model which is a black, rectangular zyl. I wear Essilor LightStyle lens with Crizal AR.

Anyone else wearing new zyl styles?

Marchon Sointu 1705. The design looks like plastic but it's titanium. As for lenses, drag 'em through the garden! Comfort Ormex Transitions Quantum Gray with Crizal and edge polish. Did I miss anything?

I wear a Charmant Shin 8095 Titanium frame with clips that I've polarized (although why a clip that wholesales for $XX wouldn't come stock with polarized lenses is beyond me).

I wear Nautica and Costa Del Mar Tempest sunglasses (both polarized and backside ARC'ed from the manufacturer :) ).

Currently I am in a CK 253. However I wear as many frames as a single pair of my -1.00 -.50 OU Poly AR coated lenses will accommodate by starting out with a bigger eyesize and then edging lenses down for the newer and smaller frames every 2-3 weeks. The frames I choose are reordered and then returned to the respective manufacturer for credit after I choose something new. The lenses are replaced within parameters of the wholesale lab scratch warranty. When the lenses get too small and options become limited, I usually start over again. Everyone wins as frame styles are featured and add ons such as AR, Poly, and High Index are sold more easily if you are wearing the product.

As far as suns go, I am partial to the Maui Jim Kahuna and the Costa Del Mar Deep Blue. Unfortuanately, they are not amicable to my same advertising strategies.

Let's see. Where do I start??

    Silhouette titan 3pc.
    Vuillet Vega Presitige 415
    Tura Escada E006
    Marchon DKNY 6804
Something from Australian Optical (marking has rubbed off now
    REM Lauren Hutton L074
    Polo 587
Tura Sunglasses ( I forget which model)
I also have CLs, but I don't wear them very often.

They are all in my current RX. I had 6-7 more, but I finally tossed some in the Lions Club box. Our annual convention for the Texas Ophthalmic Professionals Society is coming in May. I am sure I will find another frame or two that I just can't live without.

    Thumbs up

I am wearing the Betty Davis Eyes #1103. It is a cat-eye shape brown plastic frame with nosepads and transitions 3 and AR.

I have never (except when working in the store) had people say "I like your glasses", but have had strangers walk up to me while shopping and tell me how much they like my glasses! I am rather liking the attention!
