INTRODUCING ZEISS BUSINESS CLARITY AT THE COMPUTER AND BEYOND
New computer lens from Zeiss available now
CHESTER, Va., March 27, 2004 Carl Zeiss Optical, Inc. today announces the introduction of its new computer lens, Zeiss Business. The new Zeiss Business computer lens was developed for typical workplace configurations and offers the patient comfortable vision in the entire near and intermediate range. Without frequent head movements, Zeiss Business makes everything from 14 inches to 4 feet away appear clear.
Zeiss Business wearers benefit from a large near zone with stabilized power, smooth and comfortable transitions between intermediate and near ranges, patented Horizontal Symmetry, fully aspheric surfaces for thinner and flatter lenses and a unique variable inset. The minimum fitting height for Zeiss Business is 16 mm, allowing the opportunity for eyecare professionals and Zeiss Partner Labs to fit smaller, fashionable frames.
Zeiss Business is available in two different lens types. The lens name denotes the power decrease from the near to the intermediate zone. Zeiss Business 10 displays a power decrease of 1.00 D and is ideal for first-time wearers of reading glasses and younger presbyopes. Zeiss Business 15 displays a power decrease of 1.50 D and is more suitable for patients experienced with reading glasses.
The delivery range is sphere +6.50 D to -5.00 D, cylinder out to -4.00 D and prism out to 3.00 D. Zeiss Business is available in CR39 with 1.5 index.
