This subject came up at work today and I was just curious as to how you all studied for the ABO.
Thanks!

Bought a couple of books, studied for a while, then took the test.
You mean you're supposed to study for it!? (just kidding)
My references for the ABO exam consisted mostly of the Lenscrafters training books (known as quality fitting and adjusting and quality inspection program), enhanced by whatever wisdom I picked up on Optiboard ;-)
As a matter of fact, it was this board that got me interested in ABO certification.

Self study. Most of the test is learned through your everyday job if you are trained properly in the field.
UFRICH:cheers:
During my first year in the lab ('89), I had access to some Pearle training material. Between the info in those booklets, and asking annoying questions around the shop, I had no problem scoring in the high 90% range on the test.
Then again, I actually enjoy taking standardized tests. I understand some of the prep courses are really good for those who dread tests of this type.
