I took over the duties as the Lab Manager. My job duties are very detailed work that includes operating a finish lab, maintaining and reconciling invoices from various outside labs and frame vendors, monthly matching of invoices with their statements and making sure they are paid in a timely manner. I maintain accounts receivable, make the employee schedules, and I also post payments in the computer when patients pay their balance or when we get insurance payments. I have a lot of responsibility and I handle it very well. I am always willing to do anything that needs to be done in the office and if it is something that I am not familiar with, I am willing to learn how to do anything. I have trained several new employees for our office and when someone has any type of questions they ask me for the answer, including the doctor. I am proficient in filing VSP insurance & operating OfficeMate software.

OBJECTIVE

Until the time I became employed at Texoma Optical Lab I was a stay at home mother. Once I began working in the optical field I realized that I was very interested in this field and began to pursue my ABO certification, which I received in 2002.

I am very knowledgeable in the office environment. I have the ability to accomplish many tasks in a limited time frame, I also work well under a great deal of pressure and I have the ability to stay focused on what needs to be done.

I would like to use my training and experience to obtain more knowledge in other areas. I would also like to use my knowledge to benefit a company that would appreciate and accept what I have to offer.
