Who will win! AS IF I DID'NT KNOW
I forgot this!
As a die-hard Dolphins fan and avowed Patriot-hater, I gotta go with the Panthers. I actually used to kinda like the Pats when Bledsoe was around (blasphemy for a Dol-Fan, I know). I thought Drew was a class act, and while a good QB, Brady comes across like a punk. ....then again I thought the same of Bret Favre when he was a young QB and look at what a class act he turned out to be. Gotta hand it to Belichick, he's doing and outstanding job, but still gotta route against them.
Go, He Hate Me!
The answer is...
Pete will win regardless. That's right, if I catch any of the game it will probably be while lounging outside on my lanai in 60-70 degree weather drinking Coronas (with lemon wedges from the lemon tree in my yard) and Coors Light!!!
So, should the Patriots win, just remember- you may have the Superbowl, but I'm WARM!!!
Yes, those grapes are really, really sour this year...
:D
because he's read the report which came out yesterday saying New England has had the coldest January in 86 years! (I put the angry smiley in because it keeps me warm!) If Pete thinks for one minute, that I'll be thinking about him sitting on his Lanai in short sleeves, sucking down cold ones.....He's RIGHT!.............(for once)
YEAH! MIKEY!!! GO PATS......

Pete:
You may be warm, but us New Englanders get to write our names in the snow after drinking those Coronas. That's a thrill (and an art) that you Florida boys are missing out on.

Just don't eat the yellow snow!

I am almost certain we'll be seeing a photo of him in short sleeves, brewski (pardon pun) in hand, begrudgingly wearing a Patriots hat....("a bet's a bet")
although he may have been a man of his word and not watched, because I tried to reach him on his cell phone and had to leave a message.
I include this photo for 3 reasons. First to show those of you not in the northern climes, some snow. Secondly, to show off the shirt my wife surprised me with, and thirdly, to unofficially launch spring training......Note the hat!
It was a great game last night and although the Pats fell behind once in the game, the outcome was predictable.BIG Parade in Boston- are you going Mikey???
Concerning Sean's absence...............(to Sean-) Its really getting deep enough to put my boots on!:D :D Someone should ask him where he's been 2 of the last 3 weeks!!

Hi Harry, and congrats...
I was actually going to watch the game last evening. To be honest, it was 6:45 before I even remembered it was on. I clicked on a series for each team, started flipping around, and ended up reading an FDR biography and watching Trading Spaces with the wife for most of the evening. I think this is only the second SuperBowl I haven't watched... the other being the Denver one a few years back (I think they beat the Falcons).
The radio talk show this morning gave me a recap... One of the hosts was saying it was a boring, poorly played game by both sides- the other said it was one of the best SuperBowls he'd watched. They noted that Carolina had a lot of penalties, Tom Brady won the MVP, and something about the most exciting moment being the end of halftime (Janet Jackson apparently managed to lose part of her dress).
Anyway, congrats to you Patriots fans, condolences to you Panther fans. I'll cash in my $40 from the Rio in Vegas (Panthers were getting 6.5, I'm just glad I didn't tease it with the under like I was thinking of doing), and we'll strap em back on in a few months. Fortunately, there is an election and the Olympics this off season to keep me occupied.
Sorry the cell was off. It was sitting in the car anyway, so I wouldn't have heard it... I'll check the message.
Regarding the hat photo. Since I haven't procured a hat, I'll tell you what we'll do (assuming you are ameniable). Bring one of your Patriot hats to VEE, and I'll wear the hat for the annual OptiBoard photo at Vision Expo (I'll even hold up one finger in a "we're #1 pose"- and yes, I mean an index finger).
:D
You weren't the only one. Spaceballs cut into the start of the game; just couldn't flip the station. :DPete Hanlin said:

Most excellent!
I think Harry could pull his pair off Too!
I had to watch the Parade on the Radio today! The traffic was nuts going into Boston.
It's a good thing the Pats are good football players because if they had to make a living in public speaking they would be homeless!
Harry
The Sox cap in your photo was a nice touch!
