Okay, since nobody has brought it up up yet, I will. Evidently she got married in a Vegas chapel to an old school friend and is attempting to have it annulled the next morning.

She claims it was a joke that went too far, but according to what I read she showed up at the chapel to get married was told she didn't have the license, went to the courthouse at 2am got the license and drove back and got hitched.

Now for the rant....

She had to be drunk, stoned, or mentally deficient to do all of that for a "joke". I think she has some real problems. Or maybe when she kissed Madonna some of the "shock" factor rubbed off.

I think her mother needs to slap her back to reality!

At least Michael Jackson is thankful, he got out of the headlines for a day or two. And don't get me started on his 60 minutes performance!

There was a time that she was an adorable little girl, and now all that's changed. Too bad. She's going down like so many others. But, her followers will still buy her albums.

I have to keep reminding myself of Gracie Slick and Janice Joplin etc. and realize that the culture of youth is always irksome to the more...mature. My knee jerk reaction is to hope her mother (or really anyone!) does slap her soon. And when did she get so buxom? Ye gods!!! I could forgive this if she was particularly talented--that other one, Christine Agri....??, at least has a great voice.

I think she figured once her Madonna kiss made all those silly year end lists she'd be out of the spotlight again so figured she should do something else to guarentee staying in the spotlight. Like a little child, any attention, albeit negative is better than none. As for drinking and drugs....did anyone catch on the news shows the comparison of her signature on the marriage license versus annulment petition? Oh yeah!

and I stand corrected as well as thinking these two people's thoughts that a marriage can just be a joke gone bad is horribly disgraceful as well. I understand this garbage sells rag type papers but am amazed the amount of time the supposedly legitimate media has given to all these antics.
