TOLEDO OPTICAL HOSTS EVENT IN RECOGNITION OF EYECARE PRACTICES GROWING THEIR BUSINESS WITH TRANSITIONS® LENSES
Attendance at Second Annual Event More Than Double Last Year
PINELLAS PARK, Fla., Dec. 11, 2003 – Nearly 400 eyecare professionals from 60 offices celebrated their success growing their businesses with Transitions® Lenses at a recognition event hosted by Toledo Optical, Toledo, Ohio, this past fall at Put-in-Bay, a resort island located near Sandusky, Ohio. This second annual event drew more than double the previous year’s attendance.

“Education, from our customer service to our sales team, was key to helping our customers meet their target sales of Transitions Lenses,” said Jeff Szymanski, sales manager, Toledo Optical. “We used Transitions’ training modules to not only educate on what the product is but who it benefits, demonstrating to our customers the tremendous success and patient satisfaction they could achieve by embracing such a quality premium product.”

Attendees enjoyed transportation to the island, a live rock band, dinner and cocktails.

“Toledo Optical is a strong partner who has seized every opportunity to strengthen customer relationships by offering the value-added resources of education and other support tools from Transitions,” said Chris Borton, lens consultant, Transitions. “The high attendance at this year’s event demonstrates how effective the lab’s commitment has been.”

Toledo Optical, located in Toledo, Ohio, was one of three finalists for Transitions’ 2002 U.S. Lab of the Year. The Lab of the Year title has been awarded annually since 1991, and is presented to a Transitions STAR Lab at the Platinum Elite level that has made a significant commitment to growing its business with Transitions in the past year.
