I'm training 3 people who have no optical experience and was looking for some type of online instruction on lensometry that I could print out and let them take home to look over. Any ideas??? Thanks!

I have found "The Optician Training Manual" to be an excellent resource for training opticians and other ancillary staff. Great training on lensometry and many other parts of opticianry. Available on Amazon.
Good luck!
The OpenOptix ABO study guide has an excellent section on lensometry. Go here to download the latest version. Lensometry starts on page 84.

Here is just what you need, an online manual.

Back in the late 60's I used a manual that was very similar to teach the apprentices. The only difference, that I can see, was mine had a newer lensometer pictured.
Just found a virtual lensometer here http://www.shoppersoptical.com/veex/lensometer.html#. I haven't try it because i do not have the needed plugin installed and do not have time now. I use linux.

"Some one", that was advertising on Optiboard, was selling a video that taught this. I don't know what happened to it or them.
