    Seiko 1.67 Super Proceed Internal

Is anyone using the Seiko 1.67 Super Proceed Internal progressive addition lens? Have you formed an opinion on its preformance and patient acceptance yet?

    Hey Pard!......

It just so happens I fit a pair yesterday to the practice manager. Going to be a few days till she has them but she's a registered Optiboarder (Lurker :o ) so I'll try to get her to do her own review! I'll let you know what she thinks if she doesn't.

We currently fit between 3-5 pair a week of the Internal. Excellent feedback from patients. One of my best friend's dad was our first Internal fit, nearly 2 years ago. He came to me after being fit in a Poly Panamic (by a clinic that does not use an Indepednet Lab, therefore they told him this was the very best lens available..::cough::cough::). He told me there was no way he was going to live the rest of his life 'like this.' He actually had called a number of surgeons to get a consultation on corrcetive procedures. I told him to hold off for a few weeks while we made the new Seiko Internal lenses. He loves them. I remember to this day, watching him turn his entire body from side to side trying to find the 'blur.' Intersetingly enough, he bought another pair that I have right here infront of me.

I am a firm believer in all the freeform technology lenses. Seiko, I believe, holds a great deal of the patients on the technology. THeir lens is a huge pain in the *** to order though. We call it the 42 simple steps to ordering the Seiko Super Proceed Internal... :) I guess in Japan they just make a two or three shapes to express the entire ordering procedure. :)
