What is the existing Rx, I would think that any Dr. worth their ticket would caution on prism introduced or removed.

I'd turn that script away in a heartbeat :) Remake that on someone else's nickel.
I've seen scripts like this and never had a redo. I think the Dr. is right in prescribeing this.
I remember this thread only to well as i started this great debate over this one word, i only wish sometimes we had more of these, after all how many times to you get to beat a lawyer, or at the time a latent lawyer
I doug way back in this thread and have heard more defintions for O.D., O.S. and O.U. than I believed were possible. But believe it or not I have heard a at least a dozen translations from people like Ralph Drew, and Virgil Hancock and other eminent authorities who had different pronuciations and spellings for each of the terms.
But the man in this thread with "oculus uterus." is a real winner! Wonder what he was lookin at?
Kind of like when I had to write Paul Harvey and explain that keratococconosis was eye fatique from watching too many X rated movies. The eye condition he was speaking of was keratoconnus.

i need help.. what is the back vertex power of the following lens?
D1=+11.50
D2=-3.00
t= 7mm
n= 1.50
WHAT IS THE FRONT VERTEX PWOER OF THE FOLLOWING LENS?
D1=+10.75
D2=-5.50
t= 6mm
n= 1.60
Db = D1/1 - (t/n) x D1 + D2
D1 = front surface power
D2 = back surface power
t = thickness (in meters)
n = index
Answer to your 1st question, it would be +9.15. I'll let you work out the 2nd one yourself.
Why in MY tread?
