    Solar Eclipse/Corona/Eye Safety

Only within the path of totality—and once the moon completely blocks the sun—can eclipse viewers safely be removed to view totality
Remove your solar glasses (ISO 12312-2) so that the corona becomes visible. Do not look at the event during totality with the solar glasses or filters in place- you will see nothing.

Just finished watching totality in the yard/field. Was really cool! The temp dropped, birds got quiet, ( and sounded like morning singing when the sun started coming back). The 2 coolest things were, we were clear above, but there was clouds around us, far away. Close to totality, it was like sundown colors 360 around us.

And during totality, when you can safely take your solar glasses off, we saw an extremely long solar flare, from what news has described, millions of miles off the sun’s surface. We had a tad over 4 minutes of totality.
