Optometrist Job in Paradise! Join a well-established, collaborative ophthalmology / optometry group!

Our group is seeking a Doctor of Optometry to join a team of highly regarded physicians in the Tampa Bay area. Our team of doctors and surgeons specialize in areas such as laser cataract surgery, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma management and treatment, corneal surgery, macular degeneration, dry eyes and eyelid surgery. We are committed to providing our patients with personalized care and expertise and we're looking for an Optometrist who shares these same values.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Optometrist located in Clearwater and Palm Harbor, FL. As a valued Optometrist team member, you will enjoy working in a collaborative team environment with highly experienced surgeons in a state-of-the-art office setting with suitable staffing and support.

This role will primarily focus on:

  • Post- Operative Care
  • Routine Eye Exams
  • Medical Eye Exams
  • Handling a high patient volume of about 35 patients a day


Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution
  • Active state license to practice optometry in Florida (or eligible to apply for a medical FL license)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems is a plus
  • Ocular Disease Residency is a plus, but not required
  • Board certification in optometry is a plus
  • Experience with advanced optometric technologies and techniques is a plus
