Any National Optronics 7E edger (and/or) 4TX tracer gurus out there?

My role in our office has finally changed. (YAY!)

But our equipment is in a sad state. (BOO!)

I'm determined to get it humming like a finely tuned sports car. (YAY!)

But these machines are fighting me every step of the way. (BOO!)

Any assistance with set up, actual proper calibration, troubleshooting, quirks with either or both of these dinosaurs would be greatly appreciated. I have questions...so many questions. And our old hand who used to know about these things has long since retired. Happy to get into details here, or via DM or even a phone call if that's any easier.

Thanks in advance all y'all Legends!

I have some experience with the 4T tracer, which i think is almost the same as the 4TX. You can PM me any questions you may have.

As long as you still have the calibration tool and calibrate daily, it is fairly easy to use. We would transmit the trace files thru VisionWeb to the lab.

Sorry, yeah we do have a 4TX also. I'm using the little circle disc calibrator daily, but I am invariably getting SUPER wonky cuts between it and the 7E edger. And not sure if the finger of blame points to the tracer, the edger, both, or some other mystic force in the universe. Just really frustrating, and of course, can be expensive as we've blown a few digital PAL/AR blanks that weren't all that inexpensive...to say nothing of pt's being frustrated with the need for a re-order and more lead time.

That is fantastic Mate! I am glad they finally saw the light!

I can't help much with machine issues. I suggest reaching out to Harry to see if he can lend some guidance.

    Congrats! Cheers!
