    Zeiss UV Clean Repair?

Hey guys, so we have one of the fancy shmancy UV Clean machines from Zeiss. The lighting system just randomly stopped working but the bulbs are good. We contacted Zeiss and of course they are no longer making anything in regards to the machine, and they do not offer repairs. We're trying to find out if anyone knows where we might be able to send it to get repaired, or has experience with this same issue. Maybe there's a fix for it? Any help would be most appreciated, because as of right now, it's the most expensive paperweight we've ever had.

lol I mean you're not wrong. We just hate that the practice spent so much on it and it's essentially a paperweight now. We have a good amount of patients who like that we have it.

check Quantum: I think they may have made this machine, or might know what to look for in a repair.

As I argued in this thread with our banned friend Quig, I agree its hygiene theater. Would I buy the machine now? Probably not. But I think it made up the money we spent on it several times over. It allowed everyone to have a sense of normalcy when shopping for glasses even though many were still scared to be out of the house. Whenever I see someone coming in now wearing a mask (maybe 1 or 2 a week) I try and point it out that we have a UV machine to put them at ease. I still use UV Box for the pupilometer after every patient. I can't believe how much that thing never got cleaned pre-covid.

I never actually thought about using it that way. That would have saved a lot of wipes lol

    Yep
But we did get ahold of Quantum and they're gonna take a look and see if it can be fixed.
