UPS job action August 1st???

Are you telling all managed care plans especially that if UPS strikes on August 1st everything needing shipping is going to slow down?

Obviously this applies to any UPS deliveries but everyone else is going to be swamped as well.

USPS must take all packages and will probably be the overwhelming plan B for many if not most companies.

I started Monday preparing our patients that there may be delays and certainly not promising orders that I know will take time from my current lab like Chemistrie Clips.

Fingers crossed it gets settled before then.

I cannot even imagine, all our labs, most of our suppliers send stuff to us via UPS

Ugh. Both of our labs use UPS for shipping. I don't even have USPS labels for them.

One would think that a responsible wholesaler would have alternate plans to ship goods to thri customers.

One would also think that a responsible business would have alternate sources of supply to insure that their customers do not experience any undo hardship when there is a bump in the supply chain.

I ordered Hook's cheese today and they said the union votes in about one month.

UPS has the largest share (revenue) of US shippers. A total shutdown would cause substantial harm to the economy and health care. I can't see that happening without federal intervention.
