    Metal Frame Allergy

Does anyone have any suggestions on a product for people that have allergies to metal frames? I have had FrameProtec suggested in the past but this option is no longer available.

If they insist on a metal they're allergic to after the mfg's coating wears off and even titanium and Stainless steel is reacting my last resort is shrink wrap over parts that touch the head.

Had someone allergic to acrylic a couple weeks ago and more and more frames are being made in that.

    Thanks for that.

I know someone that has that allergy and she can't wear nails, even painting them corrodes her nail beds. I'll recommend she color shrink wrap her finger tips. :D

I don't believe anyone is allergic to gold (I don't mean 14K, alloyed gold) and very few to silver (again, pure silver). An artist supply store would have 24K gold and silver foil - wrap that around the skin contact points.

Better yet...fit them so that metal doesn't touch the head!

My fit will still more often than not, have the metal close enough so beads of perspiration will still inevitably contact the frame unless the bow is made obvious and unsightly.

Another material is still the best choice.

Pure Titanium, Solid Gold, Gold Plated, Horn or Optyl.

If they insist on other products then clear nail varnish at the contact points.
