TRANSITIONS OPTICAL SOLUTIONS TEAM EXPANDS IN 2003
Growth Increases Opportunities for Eyecare Professional Education; 2,000-Plus Training Sessions To Date Through Transitions Partners in Education Program
PINELLAS PARK, Fla., June 2, 2003 – The Transitions Optical Solutions Team is expanding with new faces and new territories in 2003. The team of 34 members is constantly working with eyecare practices across the United States and Canada to bring them the latest business-building strategies, product information and training resources from Transitions Optical, Inc.

Through expansion of existing territories, Transitions Solutions Team representatives are now serving Albuquerque, N.M.; Indianapolis; Kansas City, Mo.; Las Vegas; Portland, Ore.; and Salt Lake City; as well as significantly broader areas of New England, Southern California, Texas and the Pacific Northwest. Completely new territories for 2003 include Denver; Charlotte, N.C.; and St. Louis.

Sara Sabalka is serving as the Transitions Solutions Team representative based out of Denver, covering Denver and Colorado Springs; Kevin Travis is serving the Carolinas, Georgia and Tennessee out of Charlotte, N.C.; and Mark Domyan is located in St. Louis serving Missouri, Kansas and Southern Illinois. Other new faces on the Transitions Solutions Team include Patricia Creamer, Arlington, Va.; Teresa George, Atlanta; Jane Perumattam, San Francisco; and Alison Tate, Orange County, Calif.

Expanding Team Means Greater Opportunities for Eyecare Professional Education
“The Solutions Team is a valuable educational resource for eyecare professionals, providing group training through the Transitions Partners in Education program and offering one-on-one consultations on patient education tools and business-building strategies,” said P.J. Downes, sales director labs/ECPs, Transitions. “They are playing a critical part in fulfilling Transitions Optical’s commitment to eyecare professional education as we roll out the largest education initiative in the company’s history in 2003.”

According to Downes, so far in 2003, the team has conducted more than 2,000 group training sessions for eyecare professionals through the Transitions Partners in Education program. The program features a series of four education modules for eyecare professionals and an introductory module to the series specifically for business owners. The modules cover a range of topics from offering healthy vision for patients to strategies for helping businesses grow.
