    Lightbulb Metal Frames Without Screws

Metal frames need a revolution. Just do away with all the screws.
I think it would not be immpossible to make such a frame having some "Hook" to hold the lens and plug - socket to attach sides and nose pads . Screws always have Two Extremities to offer : either they do not open smoothly or get loose too often.

    Welcome back!

    Sandeep,
    Cindy's looking for you!

Late last week I had you climbing up Hillary's ladder! (Sir Edmund....not Clinton)

A frame such as you describe could also take the sting out a lens cut a touch too small!:D

    Sandeep,

Rhodenstoc, Charmant and other have offered such frames for years. Many, many years ago Bausch & Lomb offered the Bal-Grip with notches in the lens.

Several European companies have such artistic wire bending on the frame that the entire chassis is made from a single piece of wire (includeing screwless nose pads). Hinges can be screwless varying from looking like to barb-wire to a kind of channel lock hinge.

Good to see you back Sandeep, did you climb Everest?

Thanks a lot HCJ to make me aware that I am missing all the OB these days.

Just a whisper in your ear .. about the TOP of the World ..
In 1929,Famous Mountaineer, George Mallory, Up on asked by the jounalists Why did he wanted to scale the "SaagarMaathaa " (= Head of The Oceans, in Nepali ) Bounced the answer " "Becasue it is there !!"
Like wise ..Monica must be comforting her self by saying "Because He is here .." !!!

I will post few lines in Cindy's Post.

    Thanks a Lot.
