Sola Percepta

It turns out our patients like SolaMax a great deal.

I was wondering if any of you folks were fitting Sola Percepta? What response have you gotten from your customers?

Jo, I have been wearing Sola Percepta for the past 1 1/2 years without any problems. As a matter of fact, I would rate the lenses right up there with Comfort. No peripheral blur, easy transition through the corridor.

I also use the percepta quite a bit. I have never had a problem with adaptation and despite Essilors claims of an inferior design, it really seems to work quite well.

The only problem is the fairly high fitting height. I think it is 22 or something like that. But the solamax has worked well in lower oc's down to 18. Sola has the Compact but it might as well be an old blended bifocal, there is no intermediate.

I know you didn't ask but I like the Kodak Precise. Real clear at the 180 line.
