How to become a dealer of a product line

    Hey everybody!..
I'm just seeking some information and advice on how one would become a dealer for a line. I have not worked in private optical long and have not yet learned this process. For example, let's say I wanted to start carrying XXX Brand Sunglasses in my store or sell online. Would I contact the company's new accounts department? I know all companies will have different requirments/policies, but what in general are some requirements to be eligible to carry a line? (For example: minimum piece orders, minimum stock requirments, etc.). Hope this makes sense. All input is welcome and thanks in advance!

Sounds like a good place to start and they should then be able to either give you what you want to know or get a rep out to you.
You could always ask other opticals round you as to how good the reps are in your area.
