    Double D, but progressive??

    Have a pt in here that knew a guy and saw for himself that had a "double PG" or some sort of blended... but def was not a double line.

    Yeah Ive done that with one of the IOT digital O segs, or rather ordered one and had it done.

    I've also heard of doing a traditional frontside pal with a digital o seg on the top, but never had occasion to use one

    Yikes! I can not envision (pun intended) any situation where this would be an effective solution to anyone's visual needs.

    lol at Dick... yeah i shook my head as I was mapping this out in my head. i could see a double blended maybe... but its a work tool... id rather have a ft and have it wide to more FOV

    Once upon a time there was the the Varilux Overview(p.12). It's been discontinued for a long time now but can be replicated by something like what Tallboy suggested. Unless I'm forgetting something obvious, I don't know why you couldn't take a traditional frontside seg, round or flat top, flip it upside down and put a backside FF pal on it.

    Mechanics and electricians and some machinists, those are the most common Double Ds I make

    I have made many of them. Conventional progressive on the bottom a digital round seg on top, easy to make...
