Chat Room Use

Hey Steve! As you know the chat room is highly under used. Many members would like to use it but don't seem to be able find anyone else available.

Question: Could we add some sort of message that would show up on the home page or some other easily found spot that says: 1(or two or whatever) members would like to chat at (time)? Could it also show that x# of members are on the chat room whenever it is in use? (As opposed to having to give password, and enter chatroom before one finds that he is there all alone?

I can't count the number of times I've done the very same thing - go there.... and I'm all alone.

I think it would be great to add something to the main page that shows when the Chat Room is occupied. In fact I've been searching for a way to do this for well over a year now - unfortunately without luck.

The best we can do for now is to announce a time and place for a scheduled Chat. I could then add it to the Announcements so everyone would have a chance to see it.
