A question about hand sizing OSHA z87.2

This may or may not have happened IRL

Say I had a client come in to pick up safety frames with RX poly st28 lenses in them. I don't do these frames and lenses here, all safety work is outsourced. They put them on and feel weird. I check all RX and measurements, perfect to spec. Finally before I pull my hair out I think to myself, these lenses are jammed in there pretty tight.

So I mosey on over to the room with the polariscope to view the stress. Massive stress from the thick poly lens flexing all over. I hand wheel it down just a tad (maybe .10mm diameter) Still fits tight in the frame. They can now see perfectly. I let them leave, then am stricken by the fact that I probably violated some dispensing law or something here. This is a big boo boo by me right?

That is if this actually occurred of course. Purely hypothetical.

As long as the lenses are tight, I say all is well.

With poly, there is no issue. You did nothing that will affect the impact resistance. Glass would be a different story.

I see no issues here, as long as the lenses are still tight in the frame. As stated earlier, as long as it is not glass, impact resistance won't be affected.
