Patients that claim they never picked up their glasses

Does anyone else have the issue of a patient picking up their glasses, then calls a week later and claimed they never got them. Is it just me that has this issue every once and awhile.

We get the occasional ones, as well. I just chalk it up to forgetfulness, unless they do it more than once.

I have encountered this a couple of times. Once they were picked up by the other parent and their was a lack of communication and the other time we straight up gave the wrong glasses to the wrong person. They were both honest mistakes and no one was being deceitful.

I once had this happen and we never really figured out the why of it. It just so happened the person had to agree that if they never picked them up then they couldn't have paid the 50% balance they originally had left on the glasses. So we collected that and made another pair of eye wear. Second pair sales the hard way!

It does happen. We always have the patient sign and date the ledger. For proof of accepting the glasses!

We had this happen when we had two patients, same names, and we had to mail one out... you can guess how that ended up
Have I told you today how much I hate poly?
