I recall a fact of lobbyists getting something like $10 back for every dollar spent. It's where we independents have fallen flat on our eyeglass faces.

We do not play the game our current oligarch $$ based system of government requires.

But now I'm out again onto the thin political ice that Steve hates us to talk about.

How much money would we have to lobby the Chuck Schumer's of our states and Washington if we pooled just 0.5% of our gross to a PAC as a cost of doing business?

Oopps- I'm a little low. It's $220 for every dollar according to this article from a well respected magazine---

    .......and we never will.

If you look at the above list of the largest donors there are 6 corporations related to the medical sector.

That is also why the medication I take on a daily basis, as a heart patient, costs me Can $ 86.00 per month and when we spent the winter in Florida and I ran out of it the last month, and had to get an Rx from a MD that charged me for the consultation, and the drugstore took US $ 2300.00 for a month worth of the exact same pills.

That is nearly 17 times more than we pay in Canada.

Then we can figure out that there must a tremendous profit on all levels of the medical prescription services, and that just a simple country border can make such a difference.
