The Kate Spade eyewear license expires 12/31/18 (http://www.prnewswire.com/news-relea...233323521.html). Unless the contact has a clause allowing the contact to be ended in a situation like this, Safilo should keep the line for another year, but it would be shocking if the license was renewed.

There's investor contact information at the bottom of that press release, you'd probably get better information concerning the status of the contract pretending to be an investor contacting Safilo, than contacting Safilo as a customer.

This is simply for the handbags....for now. Safilo's contract with Kate Spade ends in December 2018. The transition to Lux is only a matter of time.

I just saw my Kate Spade rep this am...said the same thing... license is good until end of 2018. After that, who knows. He said he would assume Safilo would fight to keep it, but he wouldn't necessarily be surprised if Luxottica tries to get it. (And we all know Luxottica has some deep pockets)
