Let's say you have refined the axis by straddling the JCC over the axis and all looks good. My question is this: if you now change the cylinder power and again straddle the established axis, won't the JCC pick up the new cylinder power even though we are straddling and mislead you into changing the axis? It seems the error would be small but maybe noticeable. I realize it takes some iterations between power and axis, but I am left wondering if it is possible to select the wrong axis based on an incorrect cylinder power selection. And I guess the inverse question would be whether an incorrect axis would mislead you to select the wrong power when aligning the JCC over the axis. I'm thinking this is why we go back and forth between power and axis - I always thought it was just a general check but maybe this is the real reason ?????????
