    Gunnar Glasses vs everything else

I have one of those know it all buddies of mine that did some research and through his studies apparently found out that Gunnar's blue blocker is better than any other blue blocker on the market. I was trying to talk him into getting Hoya's Recharge or Nikons SeeCoat Blue Premium coatings. But of course his research is law and what do I know(gotta love these types of people) so anyways was wondering if you guys have any comperative studies that have been done regarding different blue blocking coatings and the effectiveness of them.

    Thanks,

    Jc17777

Depends on where his concern with 'Blue Light' actually lays. Retinal health? Circadian Rhythm?

It is all so simple. Stick any make of blue blocker into a spectrometer and it will tell you automatically where it blocks and where not.

    Here is a good example:

It's for 'visual comfort' and he's concerned about maximum HEV protection? Has he had a recent exam and discussed this with the doctor specifically?
The yellow will increase contrast and has been used by sportsman and the like for decades. I made a set of Gunnars for my sister who is in front of a computer, in the middle of the night, in an office building with all it's processed air and she loved them. She told me she was much more Comfortable than before with standard Rx.
He needs to figure out what he really wants and why he wants it.

Hey - if selling placebo's helps the bottom line, and you can sleep easily at night - go nuts!
