Is This An Essilor Company Yet?

Luxexcel to Showcase 3D-Printed Lenses at Vision Expo
    Product: Luxexcel 3D-printed lenses
Top Line: Luxexcel, based in Turnhout, Belgium, has developed a unique technology to 3D-print lenses. Next week at International Vision Expo in New York, Luxexcel will exhibit some of its lenses, including bifocals, trifocals, prisms, slab-offs and other specialty lenses.
Close Up: The lenses have been tested by COLTS Laboratories and found to be within industry standards. The company will also show how a 3D printer will integrate within todays standard workflow and processes like coating, tinting, edging and framing.
Guido Groet, chief commercial officer for Luxexcel, noted that 3D printing allows users to create different lens designs with the power, shape and optical properties each patient requires. “The magic of this technology is to create lenses in your lab, within an hour, starting with a bottle of liquid,” said Groet. “The lenses printed on our machine don’t need any polishing and are ready to be coated. There is no need for blanks, we reduce process steps and provide quality products.”
Groet also pointed out that 3D printing makes it possible to integrate sensors, cameras, filters, LCDs and many other elements into a lens.
Vital Stats: The lenses have been tested by COLTS Laboratories and found to be within industry standards. The company will also show how a 3D printer will integrate within todays standard workflow and processes like coating, tinting, edging and framing.

My Saturday is packed with meetings. Just hoping to get some time @ VEE to take a peek at this. I understand that Younger is also working on something similar.

It's a year later, have they come to market beyond the one test lab?
And why couldn't they make an edged, mount ready lens?

I stopped at their booth 1 or 2 expos ago and spoke with the COO. He said they had been approached by Essilor and he was very adamant about never selling to them.
