Recommend a really, really good hand edger

I've been trying to get along with some bottom of the barrel hand edgers in recent years. I was surprised how much they had gone up in price. But, alas, you get what you pay for. I'm in need of a really nice hand edger and would like to hear what's available on the market right now. Thanks!

Whatever you get, make sure it has a bonded wheel and not a plated wheel. The wheel will last forever in an OD's office. If the motor blows you can get cheap after market. AIT makes some good ones.

I have new ones list $295.00 less 20% for Optiboard members. Has a bonded wheel. In the rare instance you need a new motor it's $97.50. EM me so i can give you the discount don@superoptical.com. I have sold hundreds of these and sold only one motor since 2013 and that wasn't for one that we sell.

Is there a new bonded wheel edger worth having for under $1000? That 590 runs over $3K
(Yes, perhaps it is a really, really good edger)

Hilco makes a pretty good one, it gets the job done. I was awarded an Optisource one 5 years ago from Crizal points or something and its been pretty reliable, though I think the wheels are getting a bit dull now. Both run from around $395 to $500 bucks if I remember correctly.
