Can you put a Fresnel prism on AR coated lenses?

Can you put a Fresnel prism on AR coated lenses? I usually use sugar solution for better adherence?

I do it all the time, but I use a cl wetting solution. Not as sharp as uncoated, but the customers are accepting that.

Backside with gentle stream of running warm water as you press it on. Once it's in place, force out the air bubbles and voila. No sugar needed.

That's how I do it. I save the sugar for the client.

    Go to page 17.

While the above description of the membrane, and particularly the term pressure adhesively attachable" have primary reference to the process of pressing the membrane directly on the lens surface, it is to be understood that attachment may also be made by interposing a fluid film between the membrane and the lens surface which brings into play the physical phenomena of surface tension. Since surface tension is generally understood to result from molecules close to the surface of the liquid which exerts a force of attraction to the molecules of the surface of the solid, and thereby bring into play intermolecular forces, the term adhesively affixed is not limited to a bond between two solids, but includes the interposition of a liquid.

Because the field of intermolecular adhesion is not entirely understood, and no uniformity exits relative to a definition, the term "adhesively attachable as used herein, because it involves intermolecular forces, refers to both solid-solid adhesion and solid-liquid adhesion. The conforming force may also be electrostatic or result from the vacuum effect between the film and the smooth substrate.

I've found that using an RGP wetting solution works just fine.

Revitalens is the brand we are currently using, but I believe any type would work.
