    Curious about Bridge sizes

Just a quick question about bridge sizes available for 3 piece mounts. This post is in reference to the wide pd wide bridge post but what's the other end of the spectrum? I'm thinking Very narrow bridge and wide pd. Cost is also a factor. Who carries the smallest bridge without customizing? What is the(eeek) cost of a small custom bridge?

I believe Shilouette's Minamal X is a 17mm bridge. That is pretty narrow; many of Marchon's drill mounts and Silhoutte's Minamal Art are 19-21mm.

I was hopefully thinking more 14-15mm. Essentially what I'm trying to do is show up a co-worker.

How effective are those and what are the cosmetic implications?

A couple of links for you...

    Shuron Ltd./Shuron.com: Shuron Classic #27
    Shuron Classic #27

The 27, like the 28, was originally introduced in the 1970's as a designer frame for the large lenses that were popular during that time period. The faceted lens design provided a fashionable alternative for large, thick lenses. To this day, the 27 & 28 are still very popular choices.
    Colors: Gold or Silver
    Eye/Bridge: 57 & 60/14 & 17
    TPL: 135, 140, 145

Here are two examples of your 14 bridge. It looks like the Classic #27 would be an easy chasis to use with a custom shape. The 57 eye with faceting might be a bit much for most folks. ;)

If Luxottica still makes it, which it did only a couple of years ago in limited colors, Athena is very similar to these frames.

Lindberg (of Denmark) has a 16 mm bridge for their Air Titanium line. Air Titanium is a 3 piece mount, slotted rimless design.
