Program Brings Strength of Transitions’ National Consumer Advertising Program To Eyecare Professionals on a Local Level
PINELLAS PARK, Fla., Feb. 12, 2003 – Eyecare professionals can now benefit directly from the strength of Transitions’ national consumer advertising program through the all-new 2003 Transitions Dispenser Referral Program. The program will help bring consumers to the locations of participating eyecare professionals by referring consumers who see Transitions advertising to locations committed to dispensing Transitions&reg Lenses.

The ads, which focus on the importance of UV protection and Transitions Lenses as an automatic everyday solution, will include a toll-free number consumers can call for a referral. When consumers call, they will be provided up to four locations, based on random selection of participating locations within a certain distance radius.

“The national consumer advertising campaign aids eyecare professionals in bringing awareness to patients about the important topic of UV protection,” said Vanessa Johns, Transitions marketing director for North America. “We’re pleased to now support them further by bringing consumers who see our advertising directly to participating locations for more information.”

Eligible eyecare professionals were notified by mail in January that they were enrolled in the program.
